ABOUT US
Our story is that of a company born out of a passion, a tradition and a philosophy of life, and now passed down through generations.
Our company was founded in 1986 by two brothers, Hamza and Remzi Üstün, in the town of Sürmene, Trabzon, after tea processing was opened to private investment in 1984. We were among the first companies in the private sector to start tea processing. Today, we continue our work with the same passion and quality as on the first day, under the leadership of our third-generation manager, Ümit Üstün, who has gained in-depth experience in all aspects of tea processing since childhood.
Our ISO 9001-certified production facility, with a capacity of approximately 10,000 tons of fresh tea per year, produces approximately 2,000 tons of dry tea annually, sourced exclusively from natural tea leaves from our region. In our state-of-the-art factory facilities, we package 20 tons of dry tea daily using integrated packaging equipment for both our own brands and other brands in the region, and ship it to the national market.
Since our founding, we have continuously contributed to supporting the regional and national economy in the tea industry, which is the most important source of income and the main factor in the economic development of our region, by providing employment opportunities to the local population. Our company employs 120 seasonally and 65 permanent employees, 65% of whom are women.
In accordance with our corporate policy, we consider it our duty to support the local community, sports clubs, schools and social charities and to actively stand by our state and our people in both good and difficult times.
Our mission is to produce teas of the highest quality and flavor for you, the consumer, from the fresh tea leaves of our region. In doing so, we aim to spread the word worldwide about our ecological superiority, which eliminates the need for chemical pesticides, as well as the distinctive and unique flavor of the tea gardens of the Eastern Black Forest, one of the few regions in the world where tea gardens receive snow in winter. In doing so, we not only contribute to the promotion of our country but also to improving its economic development.
