First Flush Black Tea
(Mayis Cayi)
In Turkey, tea only grows in the Eastern Black Sea region. Tea gardens are harvested four times a year. Tea lovers, in particular, know that the first tea harvest takes place in May. After spending the winter under heavy snow, tea returns to nature in its freshest form and is picked in May at its most tender. Tea harvested in May carries the freshness and energy of spring, reflected in its flavor. Tea1986's May gift tea is the first harvest and therefore has the highest antioxidant content. At this time of year, the soil is moist and the tea is charged with energy. Tea1986's May gift tea, made from the first harvest of the year, is much more productive and flavorful than tea harvested three more times later, due to the values that humanity has attributed to spring for thousands of years. Due to these qualities, Tea1986's May tea is preferred by thousands of traditional tea drinkers in Turkey.
For the preparation of good tea
A porcelain teapot and lime-free water should be used.
After enough tea has been added to the dry teapot, let the pot steep in the steam.
When adding hot water to the tea kettle, add the water at one point and pour it in such a way that the tea does not get wet.
To achieve a good infusion (do not boil the tea), wait until the tea sinks to the bottom in the steam from the boiling water.
