In Turkey, tea is grown exclusively in the eastern Black Sea region. The tea gardens harvest about four times a year. Harvesting begins in May and continues at regular intervals until September. After a winter of snow cover, the tea plant returns to the wild after about eight months with renewed energy and freshness.
